Witherwood Castle : Cold Storage : 1 North (0)

How do you get the left hand snake? It can't get out, I can't get anything in to block it because of the arrows, and there are no crumbly walls.

There must be something obvious I'm missing here.

In my defence, I find the green arrows lacking in contrast and hard to see.
