The new hope, naturally, is the hope of another great game from Caravel, and the hope for Caravel's expansion beyond the DROD saga without abandoning it.

Also, whoever had that "I want to click it" avatar needs to resurrect it.

I used to think the Internet was a wonderful place. Granted, it had its shortcomings and its fair share of blackguards and rogues, but it kept a je-ne-sais-quoi, an inner core of naiveté that allowed us to go through even the blackest day. There was always hope of a better world. Not anymore.

If even Elfstone starts doing heavy-handed advertising on the Internet (better known as 'spam', but I dare not brand her with that infamous label), we have truly and well lost. I hereby declare the Internet experiment to be a failure. This is all.

Hello there, n00bs, I bet you wonder what the new bar is for!


Why, Frogs and Mice of course, a future game from Caravel loosely based on Batrachomyomachia, an ancient parody of Homer's work. Forgs and Mice is planned to be out at around April 2008. It will feature cute and animated graphics on an updated version of the current DROD engine, however it will be way easier to appeal to the kiddies!

But don't worry, it will have an editor, so as soon as it's out, we'll have that fixed in no time. How do I know all that? Well, Erik made an interview on Indygamer which you haven't read because you hang on the Games board and don't check the Press Clippings, and I summarized it shamelessly.

Oh, and it had one screenshot of the prototype. The final version will probably not look like this at all:

I didn't know Something was related to the Bureaucracy, though, so I'm not making any point regarding said Bureaucracy (I'm more into the 'Bureaucracy, wot?' camp, really).

Clearly Kara is Elfstone's multi, and it was a simple matter of knowing how Banjooie responds to epic threads.
