What is the maximum amount of rank points? I figure it is 3000. Or, it is an infinite amount and no one has reaches 3000 yet.

So far, Oneiromancer has the highest amount of rank points: 2689 (A hefty amount if you ask me) His rank points will grow much after that, and I won't update this.

I would like to ask if this could be implemented, if not already done so, of 3000 RP is the maximum points.

I'd suspect that the maximum amount of rankpoints is for all practical considerations limitless.

I'd like to ask that the minimum amount of rankpoints be -13.5. Thee .5 is so that whosoever shall reach this number shall ever after retain this unique postfix, regardless of future recoveries of rank.

Erik technically has more than me, as when he lost all of his rank points in that freak accident with the server while riding his bicycle, he was at over 1000 points. But he decided to start over again from 0 instead of wherever he was exactly.

If nobody would have hit that limit already, I would have suggested 1337, but since that's the case I suggest 31337.

I guess that's correct. I don't think they used a 32-bit Double Word for rank points and I also think that no one will ever reach 65535 rank points in a lifetime.

Well, Oneiromancer, you still have the highest visible standing at this second. However, I do believe that Erik has a while more than you. And so Erik is now in first place with the most rank points.

Based on the scores, I still think that maximum would be 3000. These high score people are Rank Point freaks that happen to be really good at gaining them. So far, these rank points may show that 4000 RP should be the max, as these people don't have far to go until they hit 3000.

If someone can learn the maximum value that a PHP variable can hold, then you'll know what the maximum rank point value is. A fair guess would be 2,147,483,648 (2^31) but it is possible that PHP's loose typing value container allows 64-bit values. Or even values that are only constrained by the amount of memory available to store them.

Oh, but we also have to store the rank point value in the database. So that restricts things much more tightly. I would have to go look up the field type, but it is probably a long. So you could have about 2 million rank points if you're popular enough.

4000 would be the maximum. However, you must master KDD, JTRH, TCB, and SS, to get higher. But there will be a true maximum. 65,535 RP will be the ultamite maximum.

Yep. It quite is. 2692 - 992 = 1700. Does anyone have 2500 moderation points?

So, does this mean that from now on, every time you get modded up you want someone to mod your post here down?

Better yet, keep your current 1700 rank points safe in its container and use a new container for any more you gain. Then whenever you gain more, take the server (but not your old rank point container) on a bike ride along railroad tracks and re-create the 2004 accident.

I just spoke to Schik and got my minimum and maximum ran point count set to 2244, which is an amusing number. Now no-one has to worry about rank points ever again.
