I was thinking about the Char-Actors game in reverse: Here are three actors, what role have they all played. For example, if the three actors were Roger Moore, Sean Connery and Timothy Dalton, the answer would of course be James Bond. But it wouldn't have to necessarily be the same specific character, but a more general role. For example, Haley Joel Osment, Robin Williams, and Roberto Benigni:

So here's the first one (should be pretty easy):
Gaspard Ulliel
Anthony Hopkins
Brian Cox

Heh, I don't know what the answer is, but Terry Camilleri has played "Man in Dryer" "Man in Bathtub" and "Man in Brothel"

Napoleon (Time Bandits/Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure/War and Peace)

Now here's an easy one:
Anjelica Huston
Daryl Hannah
Carolyn Jones

Working on my three (another set!) now. Slightly more obscure, but you'll like it.

Keanu Reaves
Jet Li
Majel Barrett-Roddenberry

Well, the first thing that springs to mind is "The One" (Keanu in The Matrix, and Jet Li in The One) but I can't find a fit for Majel Barret Rodenberry

You'd be right.

She played Number One in the original Star Trek Pilot (seriously, not given any other name title other than Number One) :P Your turn.

Alright, this one might be a bit more difficult (character type instead of name):

Clint Eastwood
Gene Wilder
Russel Crowe

Since Clint Eastwood mostly does westerns, and Gene Wilder's only done one western that I know of...

They were, respectively,

1. Billy McCoy, fastest gun in the West, in Bronco Billy
2. The Waco Kid, fastest gun in the West, in Blazing Saddles
3. Reverend Cort, fastest gun in the West, in The Quick and the Dead

I'll accept that answer. I was actually looking for drunk, retired gunfighter pressed back into service (as Eastwood played in Unforgiven), but your answer clearly fits the bill.

Let's try the unlikely combination of:

1. Dan Hedaya
2. Anthony Hopkins
3. Robin Williams

I'm not sure this is what you're going for, but I'll say "Father Figure to Genius":

Dan Hedaya plays Tony Shaloub's father on Monk
Anthony Hopkins was Gwynyth Paltrow's father in Proof
Robin Williams was Matt Damon's surogate father figure in Good Will Hunting.

Wow--I did not see that coming. (Though of course Dan Hedaya, while he was Monk's father, wasn't a father figure...)

I'll give you a few points, but leave it open and add

4. Jon Voight

ooo, I think I've got it: They've all played a President of the United States:

Jon Voight played FDR in Pearl Harbor
Dan Hedaya played Richard Nixon in Dick
Anthony Hopkins played George Washington in Freedom: A History of US, Nixon in Nixon, John Quincy Adams in Amistad
Robin Williams played the president in Man of the Year.

Well, close enough; in fact, they all played an actual, historical president (Robin Williams played Theodore Roosevelt in A Night at the Museum.)
