Inspired by the Mornington Crescent thread, I thought people might care to partake of another
Clue favourite - New Definitions. With a name like that, the way it works must be as clear as when you're first introduced to One Song To The Tune Of Another, so I'll do my best to explain in less than 278 pages. Essentially, you've to provide new definitions of existing words or phrases you've come across - as we know, the meaning of words changes over time.
As an example, a classic Willie Rushden contribution:
Bidet: two days before D-day.
Or, how about these?
Smooth criminal: One who pilfers blended-up fruit.
gore: To induce boredom by banging on about climate change.
conservatory: an oxymoron.
Or indeed
oxymoron: one whose brain has been damaged by sniffing spot cream.
Fantastic: Frozen fizzy drink.
