Can anyone offer a hint of the needed strategy here? I've dealt with golems and giants before, but not in rooms where positioning was so stringent.

I'm not sure what NoahT's post means. [Edit: Actually, think there's an ambiguity - he means you *do* have to kill them on the plates]

There's nothing stopping you from leading golems to the pressure plates and killing them on the plates. There's no tricky manipulation required at all.

In fact you can kill the first giant on a pressure plate as he comes towards you.

well there's my problem with this room, "manipulation." I can get 2 golems on the plates but get stuck after that, a little more help would be appreciated.

If you really can't guide golems on the pressure plates before killing them, then use two golems from the first giant and two golems from the other one. It will be easier this way.

Also, you can wait for the first giant to be on an plate before striking it. One pressure plate taken care of and three golems remaining.

The golems are note a probleme.But how do you get to the roach after taking care of the pressure plates??

You're missing either the hot tile at (36,9) or the open space at (36,27).
