Starred Post or Mark Unread (+1)

Occasionally, I find myself wanting to ensure that a particular thread stays on my radar, even if it doesn't get any new traffic. I wonder if it would be possible to 'star' threads (a la gmail) or just mark threads unread at my whim.

This is, I guess, sort of like a per-user sticky, but possibly easier to implement.
