Terrakept Resonant : Sence Descended : 4 South (0)

Loved this hold, and this is my only remaining room. I had hoped to solve all the secrets uphelped, but I've spent way too much time thinking about this room with no progress. I'm obviously missing something, because I see the following fundamental problem:

×The only places where it is possible to kill the water skipper are while standing along the north edge of the central platform, or immediately to its right. However, the only way to get to this platform is from the sides, which are closed off once the rotation token is hit (which you need to do to release the water skipper). You can't hit the rotation token more than once because of the arrows surrounding it.

Clearly I'm missing something, I imagine I am supposed to use the builders and maybe the golem in some creative way, but I can't for the life of me figure it out.

Any help would be much appreciated

Both the builders and golem are important. The roach, not so much.

The trick to this room seems to be realizing what causes a bridge to leave behind water rather than pit.

×If you plan your moves properly, when you drop the bridge you will be left with an open expanse of water, and then killing the water skipper will be much easier.

Well Josh I seem to have quite a problem figuring out the following:

When exactly is a bridge bropped ?

When will the droppe bridge be replaced by water and when by pit ?

Anyway I did not find this room much to my taste as it had too many unneccessary elements, and I guess I managed an unintended solution. I did it by dropping the bridge to a pit, and not using the red builder ar all (I never had all the red trapdoors dropped). I just dropped two trapdoors to water, which enabled the water skipper to cross the pit created when the bridge collapsed...

Anyway on to the masters hall !

*sigh* You're not supposed to do that!!!

To answer your question:

- A dropped bridge will turn into pit if at least one square orthogonally surrounding it is a pit square.
- A dropped bridge will turn into water if all squares orthogonally adjacent are water.

As you can see, it's a lot easier for this bridge to become pit than water. The intended solution involves dropping the bridge into water rather than pit so that the waterskipper can cross it.

I'm stuck in this room too. It's my last room before I do The Bottom. I know exactly what's going on, what's happening in the room, what the golem is for and how I'm going to get the waterskipper (by dropping the bridge into water), what I've been stuck on for the past couple hours is what order I'm supposed to be doing things in. A gentle nudge in the right direction would help.

What am I doing wrong with the following steps. Though I have tried a variety of things, I seem to be repeating the following steps:

1) Kill roach, lure golem to block the lil passage blocking the way for the builder to build a pit on the left side of the waterskipper chamber thing.

2) Drop the upper of the 2 trapdoors attached to the left of the bridge.

3) Release the green builder to build a trapdoor on the left side of the waterskipper chamber.

4) Drop all trapdoors to release the red builder.

5) I get stuck here so I release the last 2 builders for kicks.

I've finally done it. It was all a matter of splitting up the 2 builders rather than having them both at the left of the bridge.
