I'm unsure of where to go next in the hold, and I'm not really sure if this room is the right one to solve next, but I had to pick a room to make post (or maybe I don't understand how H&S works?)

Anyway, about this room in particular:



If I shouldn't be working on this room, then I'm unsure how to proceed:



Any help is much appreciated. This is a great hold! The puzzles seem to be just right - they look impossible, but extended careful thought (often about the particulars of monster movement, which is great) reveals neat answers, without sending me to H&S before now.

Well all required rooms will have to be solved eventually, but thanks to the design of this hold, you don't have to worry a lot about order.

Anyway, for the room in question:

The switches toggle the door! I, for some reason, was convinced that they just closed it, and I couldn't figure out how to set off only the bomb that kills the roaches. Stupid me.

The best way to think about this room is to consider what is obviously true.

No, I'm not getting this at all. I have tried a whole host of different combinations of orb strikes, and timings and always seem to be just one place short. I had concluded that



I think a pretty explicit hint is called for here, thanks.

IT's OK I just looked at the room properly and the answer is obvious! I now also understand the previous clues, it really does help to look at the room!

As always, the answer is obvious after you get it... but I still don't get it.

The only way the yellow door is going to stay open after the green door drops is if an even number of door-toggling orbs are triggered. If you don't solve the room properly, there will always be an odd number of orbs toggled.
