The place: Seventh level, Forest of the Dead Four

The situation: I can't give exact places but near the southern part of the ball gauntlet I ended up with one ball (IIRC) in the tile above the fire elemental, the fire elemental in the tile to my left, and both of us facing NE. I pressed NW, heard the self-death sound, and the game went white and crashed.

Thanks for the help BDR.
I'll take a look at this bug as soon as possible.

I tested this again today, and I was able to get the crash to repeat (in fact, now I'm pretty sure I know what's going on). What appears to be happening is that somewhere along the line, when a mimic is pushed by a ball such that its sword touches (and thereby kills) the hero, the game crashes. I made a single-room quest testing this and it works exactly like this. That should help with your bug-finding. :)
