I kinda like this puzzle, as you finally have to use the "hand-on-the-wall" strategy that the guide talked about in the earlier rooms. All of a sudden, you really are inside the maze and not looking down from the top.

But anyways, I've sent you a PM :)

It is a logic maze. You start by talking to the guy on the far left, and then you need to figure out what path will take you to the guy who will open the door for you. In general, if you get sent back to the guy on the right, it means you're starting over. It's not a very difficult maze, but it can be a little frustrating...

How do I open the yellow door? The one in the South, that blocks the entrance and keeps me in a 1x4 rectangle of playing area.

Oh, that yellow door.

Isn't it just opening automatically for you? I'm pretty sure you should see your tour guide go through the tunnel and sit at the desk up in the upper left, and then he'll open the door to let you in.

There shouldn't be any puzzle aspect to opening it, I don't think...

What version are you using? (it's in the top right on the main DROD screen)... Probably 2. or 3. something...

Yes, I had the same problem when I first played that room. I'm pretty sure that it stems from game behaviour change affecting whether characters could walk onto tunnels or not. In earlier versions they couldn't, therefore the character can't complete its scripting. So the solution's to play in a patched version of 2, or in 3.x
