My second hold. It has a loose story and average rooms.

Post-Mastered!

I give it a 7 with 3 brains. Pretty Easy rooms, but some are fun. I liked the "Blockade" level the most. Good Job!

His first hold would be Adam's Tower

np: The Orb - Earth Orbit Three - Supernova At The End Of The Universe (Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld (Disc 1))

Mastered in 40 minutes. This hold is quite interesting. It contains a big dugeon with secret rooms, a bonus level and a story. The levels have various themes and different scenery. Sounds nicely and would be great if the whole thing was done better. There are several design mistakes and a lot of repetitive, pointless rooms.

A lot of rooms are just about killing a few guards or a few other monsters. Some rooms are used twice (2 of the secret rooms are exactly the same), with minimal or no variation. Some scripts tend to repeat when they shouldn't repeat. Moreover, the story is presented and implented spartanly (very weak). However, some rooms are pretty good and challenging (e.g. Dark Caves 3S8W or Blockade 2S). Unfortunatly those rooms are rare in your hold. Also, the scenery of Dark Cave was done very good.

While playing I was always thinking whether I should give your hold a 5 or a 6. On the one hand, it had everything and was quite fun, but on the other hand a lot of puzzles were pointless, uninspired and random. Finally I decided to give it 5 points because of all those baddies. As for the difficulty: The hold is quite easy; I was able to solve most of the puzzles in 1 try. I think it's about 3,5 brains.

Not bad. Extremely easy.

I think the hardest part is finding all the bonus rooms.

dear author, please do the following:

click "profile" on the top of the screen under the logo.
then click the "my holds" tab.
then click "High Score-able rooms" link next to "Perfect Chaos"
then click the checkbox next to the room "Path to place - 1 South, 2 East"
then scroll to the bottom and hit the "Update High Scores Database" button.

this is because this room is unsolvable. doing the above steps will make it so that it doesn't appear as an unfinished room in people's lists.

I enjoyed this one more than Sandbox (unrelated hold, I just played it right before this one). The puzzles are very simple and most of the time fall out just by walking around the room. This isn't a bad thing though, and it did have a very "castle-like" feel to it: running around after the bad-guy and freeing the prisoners.

I enjoyed myself and made a few tied-firsts in the process so all-in-all I'd give it a thumbs up. 6 for fun, 3.5 for brains.

This hold shows how not all hack-and-slash holds are automatically boringly easy. It is true that this hold is easy and involves much slashing, but it introduces a relaxing atmosphere and a plot to keep you entertained.

Overall, this is one of the holds that manages to balance fine quality and easiness at the same time.

7 Fun, 3 Brains
