Thanks again to all my testers, the people who made this possible. I plan for this hold to be a trilogy or possibly a fourlogy, so keep your eyes peeled!

Congrats to goldenferret on a great debut hold. Quite an easy hold, but it has a good story that has me looking forward to part two.

Keep up the good work!

Steve.

Thank you... If there was at least one puzzle you found pleasing and/or satisfyingly difficult, let me know so I have an idea of what kind of difficulty I should put in my holds. ;)

Just wanted to say that I've also voted on this hold.

The main reason is that I think this hold is harder than 3.5 brains. Not because the hold contains difficult puzzles, but
(minor SPOILER)

My overall score is based on the fact that 1) it's a first hold, 2) it's good, but not SmS quality yet, and 3) the various speelings in the hold.

On the other hand, it is much better than most people's first hold. :)

This is a very good first hold. Some of the rooms in the hold I really like, but there are also some rooms I don't really like.

My favourite rooms were:

Well, as a said, I didn't like all the rooms, and this is the rooms I didn't like:

Well, maybe my taste is a little odd, but this is my personal opinions of the hold, I gave it 7/10 overall and 4,5/10 brains:)

I’m looking forward to see your next hold goldenferret:)

I'm estimating sometime in mid-August.
And thanks for the review Rheb, I can't get around to looking at the rooms right now but I'll take your advice into consideration.
By the way, part two will be called "Revenge of L'Eponge". :thumbsup
And what does that stupid sigma mean?

the standard deviation of user ratings. so you can tell if the ratings are clustered around the mean, or very spread out. smaller number = high clustering, which usually means "this is pretty close to what people think". larger number = very spread out, which usually means, "everyone loves it or hates it" :)

I went w/ 4 difficulty. Of course the important thing is that the hold is fun, which yours is. :thumbsup

I know it's been a while, but I am holding out hope for Part 2 coming out some day. I'd enjoy playing more holds by this architect if this is an example of what he's capable of his first time out.

The Long Quest, Part 1 is an enjoyable hold tied together by an interesting story with some very good puzzles. Overall, the hold is not that difficult, but there were some slightly tricky rooms that may stump you for a bit. (Well they stumped me anyway.) You know... those rooms where you wonder, "How the heck am I going to solve this one?" But then, after some -- but not too much -- pondering/experimenting, the "Ahhh, I see" moment hits you? I like those types of rooms : they makes me feel smart without giving me a headache.

Rating: Overall 8; Difficulty 4
