It didn't occur to me as maybe being a problem under the library, but now that it's basically empty in rasarus I just wanted to ask.

If you've gotten to the Rasarus Archipelago, you're done with the library.

After solving Rasarus Archipelago, you go on to a level called and then pass through Rasarus Archipelago once more on your way back to

Ah, okay. I revisit it? Cuz, I was just afraid I broke something by dropping my user.dat from the demo into my TCB files.

It does not sound like anything is broken, if you've gotten all the way from the end of the demo to Rasarus Archipelago.

But I'm not at all sure why you're asking these questions. Maybe I could give a better answer if I understood better. Why is this a concern for you? What's happening in your game?

Woah, that's way weird. No, it shouldn't be like that at all. All of these levels should be chalk full of monsters and puzzles.

uhg, great. So any idea what files I should upload? I guess I can replay through the levels that were messed up, but I might have stumbled on an issue here I guess.

There have been some similar issues noted with playing the 3.0.0 demo and then importing your playing progress to the full version. These problems should have been fixed in the 3.0.1 demo version. If you started playing from the 3.0.1 version right away and never played the 3.0.0 demo, then it looks like there still is an issue here to fix.

I think it was posted about a week after TCB was first released, probably April 7th.

Then I definitely was using 3.0.1. I started TCB pretty recently.

I now think your problem could be due to the bug "viewing (CaravelNet) demos adds the explored/conquered room progress to your player profile/game". Man, that bug was a doozy, sorry. It should be fixed for the 3.0.2/3.1 patch, coming out sometime soon, but this won't help repair the current state of your game, by the sound of it. Sorry for the big trouble this has caused. Maybe someone could post saved games for these points in the game or work some data magic strip the falsely conquered rooms from your player profile's saved games.

Ah, well. Again. What I had done was entered my player.dat from the demo directly in, I didn't use the profile migration feature at all. As for the demos, I can't rightly recall when I started demos.

Another problem. I tried to restore myself in the Abyssian Fortress after I entered it pre-solved, and it put Beethro inside a wall.

Oh! I hadn't caught that earlier. Yikes, that could cause any amount of badness in the full version. I can't say then whether any bugs are involved or not. As you know, using the built-in export/import operations is the only supported way to transfer demo data to the full version.

Yeah, I forgot to export from the demo, and I thought it couldn't cause too much trouble. I guess I was wrong. Whoops.

Okay, I made it ALL the way to the end without serious issue. The levels "Under the Library" "Abyssian Fortress" and "Rararus Archipelago" are all broken for me, the level/room starts are whacked out, beethro either starts somewhere with no sword, stuck, or both. Now I realize this is my own damn fool ass fault, but is there any possible way those particular levels could be reset to 'unfinished' for me so I can replay them?

I wouldn't mind restarting the game from scratch, that 3rd place I nabbed in lowest proper will still stick up on drod.net right? I'm just hoping to get an alternative here to restarting, exporting and re-importing didn't seem to work.

You might want to do a "Saves only" export, then import it into a fresh TCB install, or a newly created second player in your current TCB install - although I'd recommend a new install to make sure the DAT files are correct.
