I bought the game, DROD: The City Beneath.. and got an invoice. Oh, and the offer to sign up here. Nice. But no links to downloading the game? Only a vague "see the email for further instructions". Well, I've gotten quite a few emails, include one that reads in it's entirety:
DROD: The City Beneath - Linux Version Order Information
(I also got a nice email invoice. So the CC transaction went alright).

So, where can I download the game itself, already? :) I really think that the information you receive upon purchase could be improved drastrically.

Thank you. I thought it was just a matter of going the right place. Never been to that page, so obviously I missed it. Really, couldn't they provide a link in an email or something? :)

Errr... when I bought TCB not too long ago I got this mail:
DROD: The City Beneath - Windows Version Order Information
----------------------------------------------------------

Dear Kurt,

Thank you for your purchase of:

(1) - DROD: The City Beneath - Windows Version

To download, click here:
http://www.plimus.com/jsp/dlapp.jsp?ref=***blah***

Should you have any questions please contact us at: erikh@caravelgames.com

And I'm pretty sure I downloaded TCB by following that link... maybe your email got eaten by some overzealous SPAM filter?

Well, I got the bit until the ---- line. Maybe my ISPs silly backup-mx server has gone ballistics again. I never understood why ISP can't just people with fixed IPs have port 25 open, if they wish. I mean... have it shut per default, then open it per request. Or just open it for all linux users, it's only the windows people who have all those worms&viruses, why punish the rest? :)

Could the fact that the mail I got was a MIME-mail with two text parts have something to do with it?

I guess they have to sell their own mail addresses, or something...

(Of course, my ISP doesn't do the above and I'm happily running a strictly inbound SMTP server on my router... O:-)

I looked at it again... it was plain text/utf-8, not Mime/multipart. Of course, someone on the way in might have rewritten the header. Almost impossible to find out now.

That's the silly thing... they don't! I run my own server, with their blessing. Inbound will just have to route through the mx-backup. They do this because they are afraid their domain will be flagged as spam-sender, not that it helps anything with lame filters.
