If I may make a suggestion:

By my count there are seven unofficial contests running right now. Mightn't it be better to postpone one or two (or heck, six?) of these until a later month? I have a hard time imagining that each of these is going to get the attention it deserves if they're all going on at the same time.

I also thought this. I think it's good to have at least one unofficial contest going on per month, in case you aren't a big fan of doing whatever the official one requires, but I think this is too much.

I actually have an idea for an unofficial contest myself, but I'm holding off until a clear period.
