I've finished this level, but when I exit the level either from here or from Entrance all I get is to return to a previous level (Rasarus Archipelago) end from there I return here again

what's wrong ?

I have a different question: I prefer to keep Beethro as thorough as possible, and I'm wondering whether it's possible to kill the pirate captain.

Don't see how, I'm afraid. In both rooms you see him, he has too much of a headstart. In 4N, he's off the screen at most 3 turns after the green door drops, and in 4N 1E, he has 7 squares headstart, which is two more than he needs to close the door on you. And you can't enter 4N 1E from any other direction.

Clearly, both the Pirate Captain and the Goblin King are going to team up in DROD RPG and challenge Beethro to a roach cooking contest.

Hmm, okay. This fits with what I assumed, as it didn't seem possible to kill him even if you were close to the door, as he moves off-screen next turn, and there's no mention of Beethro killing the captain in the script.
