 Upon entering the room, immediately free and kill two of the adders, using only the two remaining adders to complete the puzzle.

Only one adder is used.(The last four are kept in captivity and stay there until I destroy everything else in the room, so I think it qualifies).

Ah, very nice. I didn't think that doing it with just one was possible, but I overlooked one detail.
