Yup. I'm stuck in the last room of the game(for me at least). At the state I'm in now any help would be appreciated. The only idea I had, was to go into the tar, let it surround me and then drop all the trapdoors while inside. Needless to say this didn't work, because of the chaotic movement of the builders, which prevented the mother from creating stable tar.

Badly need help before I go mad knowing how near I am to the goal (: .

yeap!

you need to clear the space from tar babies to allow the tar to grew enough. once out use the adder to kill the builders and the tar blobs you can't stab yourself...

Why should you care if the tar is stable or not?

it doesn't really matter if the tar is stable or not, but since you have to drop the black doors to complete the room you have to clear the room from all the tar. and at first it is faster to cut it than to wait for completing this job by the adder and second: i had to adjust the last blob to avoid waking up the evil eyes...

OK, here's the situation:
I'm standing just before the black force arrow, there's the green adder, a 2x2 tar blob. My good friend the adder kills the tar, I set the bombs and kill all the evil eyes. My considerabley less good friend the adder comes and kills me.
I throw the screen out of the window.

After 18 hours+, give me a demo or a gun, or a not so subtle hint.

Have you considered shortening the adder a bit before triggering the bombs? If it's just 2 tiles long, you can kill it even if it comes straight at you. And why not kill it after all tar is gone?

Also, try to keep it's length down at all times...

Thanks Briareos, I optimised it as far as possible: the adder is two long, the eats tar to destroy it and grows==>too big to get killed in one sword stroke.

I have an optimal situation and as usual in this kind of situations, it doesn't work. And I'm sure it's (as usual again) some obvious thingy I don't see.

Thanks schep, read your hints. I'll try a solution in that direction, but I doubt it'll help me, I fear very much I'll end up with the same problem as before.

I am having problem at the end of the room. I always activate one eye after removing the last blob and killing the adder. I'm left with one eye after the bomb goes off. How do you keep the builders from tearing down the walls? Someone mentioned getting the builders to build up the wall. How do you do that. I'm soo close to the end of the room but have this one problem. Any hint or demo would be appreciated.

Thanks

Briareos summarized it well above:

I did it exactly that way. I guess I need to keep the builders tied up longer. I hate to start over but may have to do it again.

Mine is horrible and kludgy and lucky, but I ended up getting the job done, so at least you can get the idea.
