I just finished a 3,000 piece puzzle. It made me happy.

What are some things you've done that some people would term "mediocre" at best, but brought you happiness?

Alright, so there's this hot dog place near our school, it's cheap, filling, and they give you free refills on your soda. Needless to say, at lunch everyone flocks there.

Normally, I walk that direction with a friend, who is maybe not the quickest getting out of class. By the time we arrive, the line is a couple minutes long.

Once, however, I knew that the aforementioned friend was not going to be in school, so I left a little earlier, and walked a little faster. Though I didn't walk incredibly fast, I ended up being the first one in line!

That really is the most mediocre of achievements :) .

Back in my AD&D days, I once rolled a natural 100 on a character's strength stat bonus. Hilarity ensued.

Two of the more gifted math students at my high school participated in a nation-wide math contest that had 15 questions, took 3 hours and disallowed calculators. They wanted to see how they did on the questions that they attempted, so they brought the test to me (after they had sent their answers in). Over the course of a day (admitedly, puntuated by actual teaching), and using a computer, calculator and an internet search for a formula I thought might exist (it did), I managed to answer 13 out of 15!

Also, last weekend, my curling team and I won the first annual Texas Open Bonspiel.

Yeah, that's right! Curling. In Texas.

We won some very nice... BROOMS! (Actually, it really was a very cool prize... carbon fiber handles ==> muy light, muy expensive.)

Finding a useable public WC in London. And you are dying to use one. Yes, I found one recently. It's like an oasis in a desert.

In Belgium we also have such a kind of contest, it has 30 questions, takes 3 hours and no calculators. It's nation-wide, you get 5 points per good answer,1 point if you didn't fill in the question and 0 points if per wrong answer. I participated on it, filled all the 30 questions, and got 20 right aswers, so 100 points.

a week after that, you get to know how high your score has to be to get to the second round, Guess what! The minimum score you needed to be in the second round was exactly 100!! So I could go to the second round. That's the same amount of questions, and only 2 hours time. I scored 67 in the second round, and it ended there for me. Still, I'm very proud that I made it to the second round.

Ehhm... What I actually meant was congratulations!

I finally got my last remaining christmas present from last year today - how's that for mediocre, accomplishment-wise? :D

(That, and a replacement monitor from BenQ that - while having a working backlight that my old one didn't anymore - has 10+ dead pixels in a diagonal line and thus needs to go back immediately... and it only took them 3 weeks to get it to me... :~()

I won all three games I played against it :)

And that makes me happy too, because if I had been offered one, I would have actually have to decide if I wanted to do it or not, and I wasn't sure. Now I don't have to make any choice :D

Winning the dice game "10,000" by rolling 6 ones on the first roll. I've only done it once and my husband got a shot of the winning roll.

I'd add "understanding people", but I don't think that qualifies as mediocre.
