I was in Slaymasters' Hall : 1 North, which contains a really long cutscene, and was interrupted twice while trying to enjoy it. It was rather annoying to rewatch, and thus I thought of this FR.
Could we please have a keyboard command to pause/resume (not skip entirely) cutscenes and/or dialogue during play, for going AFK? There isn't one listed in the help files.
It could also prevent the player from moving until resumed, to prevent ...issues.

Dialog can be reviewed by double-clicking on the portrait. Don't know about cutscenes, though.

You can sort of pause a cutscene by pressing 'ESC', but that will flush the existing dialogue so it's only a very partial solution. I agree that this is a good idea.

DROD should just halt when it loses focus, IMHO, instead of slowing down to 1/10th regular speed.

That's true... but maybe Caravel actually got their money's worth with the voice actors and I want to hear them. Reviewing dialogue just doesn't have the same overall effect.

Doesn't hitting enter pause the cutscenes? I thought I used this once, but might be misremembering.

Double-clicking dialogue listed after double-clicking the portrait will replay the associated sound file. (Just FYI; it doesn't diminish the goodideaness of the feature request.)

If you double click on the portrait, it will pause the conversation, although I don't know about cutscenes.
