I see some demos included with hints on rooms.
I download these demos but windows wants to know how to open
them. Where do I put these demos in the drod program to play
them?

You can put the demo files in the \\data\\Homemade directory, along with the other holds. Then use the import command in the demo screen to load them.

Just in case anyone reading didn't know, the demo screen's F6.

So intuitive.

The import command can be used to import other player's demos for a particular room, usually so that you can see how they solved it. It only works in the newest version of DROD, 1.6. You can get to it from the demo screen, hit F6 while playing a room. The Help menu in DROD can probably help you more.

Was that your question?

Game on,

Not exactly. I did get the demo screen, but what do I do next? And where can I find demos that work in the newest version of Drod? Thanks anyway. :eyes

Well, if you get the demo screen, then you should see the "Import" button on the bottom of it. Then you just browse for a file to open like with any other program. As for demos, there aren't too many. Some of the hint threads might have one on them, and there are some floating around on the Architecture board, but those are for user-made holds. If you're having trouble with a room in Dugan's Dungeon, just ask a question...you can get a demo sent to you later if people can't help just by explaining.
