The City Beneath : Forgotten Ruins : 2 North, 1 West (0)

I can kill all the roaches in this room, but i can't get to the brain. I get petrified because i can't get the wubba to protect me in the last column/row.
I tried to wait for a queen to spawn, kill her and lure a roach to protect me from the beams, but the wubba always takes the lower-right corner before the roach(ironic, isn't it?) when i go for the brain, so i can't kill that last roach.

What's the trick here?

Wow, good job guys. Ezlo's method is indeed the intended one, I didn't think it was possible without doing that. I definitely think it is easier to do it Ezlo's way, after watching zex's demo.

So, If I can just kill all the roaches and keep the wubba with me that puts the room in a unwinnable state? I hate the rooms where beethro doesn't tell me I've missed it.

edit: and any room with a real non-obvious unwinnable state to a certain degree.

Despite the cattiness I was actually wondering if I could finish the stage without the roach. I ended up using the demo, and figured it out.

I'm in dire need of some help here. My boss is away and this is the third day trying to beat this room, I feel like i've come so far I cant give up now.
I'm left with a queen and a roach in the south west corner and just cant advance any further.

×The solution takes advantage of the Aumtlich's turning behavior. They'll turn to face within 45 degrees of the player.
So when you are close to them it is not hard to get them to turn.
The last queen I killed was the one in the lower left. With Beethro standing at (7,17) facing W and with the wubba above him, you can move to (6,16) and have enough time to rotate your sword north before the aumtlich to the west can freeze you.
He'll take a turn to rotate as well and will be frozen by your sword for a turn, giving you time to block the beem of the aumtlich from the north.
From there you can move straight North to about (7,6) or so.
The western aumtlich will still be facing diagonally as long as you keep moving. When you get far enough north, you'll be able to move SW and S and have the westernmost aumtlich to the north of you. From there you should be able to make it to the brain.
