I must be missing something really obvious, but I cannot get past this room!



I have spent a lot of time on this room, already.

Please help!

Weird, I tried the exact solution you offered and it didn't work. I moved as efficiently as possible. I was able to easily get the first orb but the second was buried by the time I finished lighting the fuses.

It's more important to destroy as much briar as possible than it is to light all the fuses in the minimum number of moves.

Wow, that's bizarre, I was pretty sure I did the exact same thing several times but when I tried it again after reading your post it worked. I'll have to start recording what I'm doing.

I've tried every possible combination of hitting orbs and bombs and I still can't solve it. Okay I couldn't have tried every one or I would have solved it by now. The briar gets one of the two orbs each time I try.

×Well, the bombs are there to sever the connection between the roots and that outer weed - but I guess you already know that.

×Because the bombs on each side only cover one column of the roots, you'll want to set them off in matching pairs.

×You have time to set off one pair before making a dash for the first orb. Note that you can't get the upper pair to go off simultaneously, but you can with the other two pairs. Since the briar tends to speed up later, this may give you a hint as to order.

OK - understand the simultaneous bit, but I cannot get the middle pair to explode together. Have attached a demo of what I have achieved (or not as the case may be).

I think you need to reexamine your route from the first orb back over to the tunnel entrance. I think you have one extra move and that will make all of the difference. Take a look at your route to the orb and duplicate it on the way back.

Yeah...that actually happened to me while playing another hold just last night. I tried to do a room in a straightforward method, and when it didn't seem to work, I started looking for potential hidden lynchpins. Then I realized that my first approach was the right one, and that I had just overlooked a simple detail.

No, there should be a different-length fuse to each of the six bombs...
