There is absolutely no way to kill the adder to the East, unless you can get by that trapdoor without dropping it.

Ok I'm stuck on the other adder. The best I can do is get one move from escaping. I think I'm supposed to keep my sword facing SW most of the time, chopping off 3 segments on the right side of the loop every time around, then killing the last segment with a swipe. But I'm always one move short. Am I at least starting correctly? Is there some point at which I need to switch orientation (perhaps go to NE so I can chop 3 segments on the left side?)?
