Up till now everything went fine, but here I'm stuck, completely, for hours now.
If I label the roaches A to D from W to E and the fegundo's 1 to 4 from W to E then I can use 4 to kill of D (I see no other possibility) and then Im stuck: using 1 on A drives 3 on a stone.
And the others are out of reach.

Yeah, that gets annoying. The only thing you can do is aim to either try and explode another Fegundo, or smash one into the bridge.

Another thing to remember with fegundos is that they'll move into the direction you're looking; so even if you run into an obstacle they'll fly in that direction anyway.

Yeah, but then how do you kill the roaches? The Fregundos sink in the water.

Given that it's possible to do the room with all 4 in their initial positions relative to each other, it's definitely possible (read: much easier) to do it with a smaller number of them. Any possible position you get into, there will be at least one direction they can all move in safely (namely, the reverse of the last move). If you're crashing one when you take out a roach with another, you need to come at it from a different angle.

I completed this room (without following a demo, oddly enough) but in pursuit of complete knowledge I gotta ask . . . what in the world is meant by "crashing a fegundo into the bridge"? As far as I can tell it's neither possible nor useful.

Just curious -

Thanks -

So... I'm trying to complete this room the intended way, but I can only kill the southeastern roach with the eastmost fegundo. I can't seem to do anything with the other three.

Out of interest: What good is it to crash a fegundo into the bridge? It's still a challenge to actually maneuver the others to the roaches, regardless of whether the pattern is disrupted or not. Plus, I still haven't managed to actually crash a fegundo into the bridge itself, without sinking the others.

Can somebody please post a demo of this in action?

Thanks,
-Insane

EDIT: Further examination proves this to be impossible, unless I'm missing something.
The one I can crash into the top must be the top one, since otherwise that one would explode before the others even reach it. But now, the top one is too far left. If I get it even near the one bridge tile, the rightmost fegundo crashes into wall. Wtf?

I don't have a demo for you, but the general value of crashing a fegundo into the bridge is simply this: it allows you to unsync the fegundo movements, which makes manipulating them easier. It's not necessary to do so, but it does make the room less challenging.

It's possible to complete the room in any case, though.

Josh

You can crash one into the bridge with four remaining if you first crash at least one into the entrance section

Every time you move in a certain direction as this character, you face in that direction. The fegundi also face in that direction. By bumping into the water or walls with your character, you can change the direction of the fegundi without moving.
