The trouble with this room seems to be that either I run out of decoy potions or the golem dies too soon. Sometimes he just gets stuck.

I'm thinking something like getting the golem down with the help of me and after the first bomb went off the golem needs to walk itself to the other bomb.. Is that even possible or do I have a wrong aproach?

Edit: got it. cool! first time I experience the post&find solution feeling.

I've made a lot of improvements to my tactics since the last time I came into this room. However, I still end up approximately three decoys away from where I need the golem to be.

I've eliminated most of the chokepoints that were absorbing a lot of decoy potions, but for the life of me I can't find this last one. So, where am I being inefficient here?

Your very first decoy is probably the biggest problem. It needs to be farther down. Other than that, you definitely have the right idea...there is even 1 extra decoy to allow a little leeway.

This room has me beaten. I can get the golem into the last bit, with the second bomb, but I can't work out what to do with it. To open the green door on the left, I have to kill the golem. That's obvious. But I can't figure out, even in theory, how to stop the second bomb closing the two outer doors.

I'm missing something obvious here.

I hate golems.

The bomb has to kill the golem. So you need to get the golem in range of the bomb, light the fuse, and then wait for it to blow. The bomb will only hit the lower orb, opening the door that is blocking you, and will not hit the other orb behind the green door, because the golem is still alive (when the bomb first explodes, that is, not after, of course).

So if you have the golem in the last bit, you're done. Just light the fuse. If the bomb is killing the golem and hitting the orb past the green door at the same time, then something is messed up...did bomb or green door timing change in the 3.2 patch or something?

Well, my victory demo for that room still works fine in the current version of TCB, so to answer your question: I don't think so...

I come here to get a hint, and then stumble across a solution that leaves four (!) decoy potions unused. Clearly this room needs a difficulty buff.
