I've looked at the post regarding this room but I'm still confused! I can get all but one gate open then the neather slips out the upper right-hand corner. The gate that I most often can't get to stay open is the one on the far left. ANYone have any hints and/or solutions? Thanks in advance!

This game is positively the best I've EVER played, and I'm 41 years old! How pathetic is THAT? Anyone out there older than I to have played this one?

It's not pathetic - DROD is an amazing game which should stimulate intellectually anyone with the patience and the logic capacity to understand it.... Even if you are 41 years old... :D

Zex -

Whew! So glad I'm not the 'old fart' in this bunch! Have a good one and thanks for the reply.

I've been trying to conquer this game for almost a year ( I DO have a life besides this game) and hope there's something else I can move on to. Though if memory serves me right (senior moment) I think Webfoot DROD is for 'puters with 3D capabilities only? <sigh>

Toodles to all you DRODsters.....

Nope. Webfoot is an older version of DROD and doesn't require 3D capabilities. Also, there's no point in playing it if you're already playing Caravel, because Caravel has all the same features, and a few more, and the same levels as well.

What you're probably thinking of is DROD 3D, a remake currently being developed by TKL Games. It'll be in 3D. Don't know about the levels for it.

I really don't understand this room. Even drawing out the orbs doesn't clue me in. The Neather follows the same route everytime and I try to trip him up but to no avail. :huh

I count 6 orbs that open or close 3 gates. I don't see how to hit all the gates that opens the gates first without having 'Neather come behind and close another. Would it be ok to send a map of the orbs and gates drawn out?

I didn't notice that some gates did both open and close. Room finished. That's 7 done in 25!!

I came to this thread for help on this difficult room and found the above.

You kids have no bragging rights! I am turning 78 and have been playing Drod since it first came out, many years ago.(Can anyone out there beat that) Being physically and mentally in tip top shape, IS something to brag about. Maybe playing Drod helped?!

No 78 'yuck' for me. More like a Hallelujah.

I would like to delete my message here. I note it is a repeat of a comment I made around nine years ago in response to others bragging rights.

Sorry to wrote this, but:
Firstly, you replied a post made 8 years ago;
Secondly, you wrote something really off-topic in Hints and Solution Board.
