The map is for 1W, as 2W is 'secret' and I can't select it.

Can somebody give a hint as to how to kill the 4th set of roaches (Kill 27)? I've attached a demo of my best attempt. I'm not sure how to attach 2 files so i'll attach the other one in my first reply.

I'm having a really hard time with the second set (kill 90). My general approach is to move to the lower-left, then kill as much as I can before I have to start moving backwards again. It gets me more dead roaches, but by the time I hit the yellow door I still have three rows of roaches.

Yeah, I think I might need a demo. I followed your instructions to the letter, but on the first backstep NW, I have my sword pointing NE and I have roaches to the north and east of me. I think I'm missing something.

I am going back and doing all the secret rooms after finishing the hold, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get INTO this room??? I know it is there, but cannot find a way in.

It's hard to give hints for this room, it's heavily dependent on move order and there are too many monsters to check the order manually, so it ends up being mostly trial and error. There is a demo a few posts up, but if you want a hint rather than a complete solution, I guess the best I can do is reveal the first few moves of my solution:

I'm having serious trouble with the challenge version of Fight 27. I was eventually able to figure out methods that worked for 100 and 90, after a lot of trial and error, but while I can clear the 27 if I let myself back up that far I can't manage to do it without getting my back to the door.

Edit: And H&S effect strikes... but I honestly couldn't tell you what I did differently. I think it was mixing slashing and stepping?
