Oooh, I remember the good old days of being a Citizen. Fun times.

I've never been a Smiter, though.

Hmmm, I'm sure Schik would be happy to fix that if you asked him nicely ;).

Sorry everyone. I changed my mind again. :blush Late last night, what with one thing and anoter, the Legendary Roach Egg thing amused me no end. By this morning it already seemed a bit stale. So I'm just going for something straightforward. Since Smitemaestro seems popular, that's what it wil be now. That's my final decision. Promise. It's all over now. phew..

I wondered why I wasn't seeing LRE this morning. I thought I was going crazy, or that my computer was.

See, I get all that, but what I don't get is why remove it selectively - apparently only from the people who did the most work on JtRH (and now TCB) - and leaving the title on a few random people.
Yeah, like Adam said, I guess some people were just missed. If you (or anybody on the private TCB Dev board) wants Legendary Architect title, just let me know.

Titles aren't tied to *anything*. They're shown below your name in each post and that is it. They don't relate to any permission to do anything on the forum, mod points, or anything else. All permissions are granted by the groups you are a member of. One thing I'd like to add to the forum is some indication for members of certain groups. Like a "Caravel employee" member would have some icon so you'd know at a glance that their word on any business type issues is law. Same for Forum Administrators, Hold Administrators, Site Content Editors, and whatever other groups are important. Someday I'll probably throw together some icons for these and add them in.

I think that the Hold Administrators' icon should be a great big red Evil Eye.

Well, somebody's should, anyway.

Hmm... whose avatar is an evil eye?! And what do the forum ranks "Poser" and "Roach Egg" mean?

Well, if you read the rest of the thread, you'd know what "roach egg" meant (though it doesn't exist anymore).

As for "poser", it means someone who poses as someone else - i.e. a fake. It's the rank the fake Schik account has.

Wait, you're right - typed that in a hurry. Clearly haven't made enough use of my set theory knowledge since I finished my degree. Strange, considering how often it comes up in conversation and how relevant it is to real life... I'd mod you up, but I've no spare points :)

And also, congratulations Michthro! I would have loved to see the Legendary Roach Egg in effect, but Smitemaestro is just as good! :D

I can't believe there's another discordian in the universe, let alone the drod forums. Nobody touch that +5.

Nah, most of the Discordians worship Bob these days. Of course, some of the Discordians claim that the Church of the SubGenius is a spinoff of Discordia, which is exactly the sort of lawyering I thought both groups would be above.

Bob and Eris were discovered independently, but I still hate the Church of the Subgenius. Maybe that's because it's stupid. And some Subgenii would consider that to be not an insult, but a statement of the obvious. Oh well. According to Mensa, I guess I'm not eligible to be a member anyway. Guess I'm stuck with the Bavarian Illuminati.

Didn't think they were serious. In hindsight, this was a mistake. Of course all self-styled intellectuals think they're so clever for being unique and individual snowflakes and mocking and/or sneering all those mundane people who aren't (who these are is decided by the intellectual in question with little or no input by their target). They'll make little tribes that constantly tell themselves they're special for their beliefs, and then get all huffy when it turns out that 'others' get the joke enough to point out the problems. (I suspect the more scary fandoms follow a very similar path.)
