We got about 5 inches of snow here (near chicago)! I was about to leave for the bus stop, but then the school called a snow day!

BTW, this is also the first snow of the season!

Heh. We had the first and to date only snow of this year at the end of September, followed by the warmest November in history...

I didn't measure myself, but the local news website says we've got 6-10 inches here in Belvidere (outside of Rockford, IL). It's pretty heinous. Drifting has some mounds (like the one behind my car) several feet up. I started snowblowing around 6:30 this morning, and my pseudo-brother-in-law is working to finish it up now at 1:46. It's really thick and heavy stuff.

I've still got to go to work today though at 4, so here's hoping the rest of the roads are drivable.

I hate snow.
