Gossiper
147th Cheesemonger was happily strolling along. He was distracted, you see, because the night before, 98th Negotiator had said -
and you realize, of course, that she was a terrible gossip... In fact, when she was young, people used to joke they'd have to start a new job, Gossiper, just for her.

Actually, I had to crank the volume up a lot so I could hear anything... (that's not much of a problem *unless* I forget to crank it down afterwards as I'm wont to do, especially late at night - where blasting music two or three times as loud as normal might upset the neighbours just a bit... )

May I suggest either adjusting your recording levels, moving closer to the mike or at least making use of your recording software's "normalize" function after recording?

Other than that, not bad - although I wonder if some of the sounds you can hear in the background couldn't/shouldn't have been avoided...

I guess I could dig up my headset that came with UT2004 and give it a try as well...

Well, I was going with the old "(sample values * 2) == +6 dB" audio software metric, which would probably make that 6*(1+sqrt(2)) dB - which should be somewhere around 10 dB (aka 1 bel) unless I botched it...

But then again I'm no audio engineer or the like...
