Every single time I post a link, instead of a nice *text* which redicts me to *url*, I see: [url=*url* *text*. Both *url* and *text* link to the destination. Also, if I choose to just to a simple tag ([ url]*url*[ /url]), it's the same, except that I don't see *text*. Oddly enough, it only applies to my posts. Why?

Are you sure you are using the tags correctly? Quoting your post shows you wrote the second one as the url inside [ url] [ /url] tags, but you are meant to put the url as follows:
[ url=*url*]text[ /url]..
Just a thought.

The second one is valid on several forums (eg all the phpbb ones), but not this one. You have to put the url inside the tag, and that seemed to work for you.

Heh, for some reason I have never looked at that page.. I was looking at the FAQ, where it only mentioned the first option. In that case, I don't think the url tags used like that work for anyone, since its never worked for me either.
