Journey to Rooted Hold: Fourth Level: Once East

I thought it might be possible to do this without turning your sword, but I think it isn't. So, do this room and only turn your sword twice. If anyone manages to do it with zero I'd like to see it.

EDIT:

Here is a demo of how I did this; proving that (most) of the room is solvable without turning your sword. With a slight change of geometry it would be possible to do this.

Technically, it would be possible if you could do the room facing NW. In reality I found it nearly impossible to do this without getting eaten by roaches.

Nice going, Doom. Evidently I wasn't trying hard enough for this one. That was a fun demo to watch. :)

Just in case you cared, though, you could have gone up into the right gap too to scare the center queen away - doing it in the left one when it's behind you looked a lot harder than necessary.

Hi guys,

I've managed to do this with a single turn (facing N, had to turn to kill the NW-most roach queen). I see a way of doing this facing NW, but I have trouble reaching the SW trapdoor - when I come back from there, there are always roaches behind my back and I can't really do anything about it (spawned by the E-most queen; if I kill it first then there's one annoying roach spawned by the NE one).

Is the challenge doable when starting from the E, or from the W ?

Actually, I have a problem with a single roach making a long way from the Eastmost arrow. I can't kill it when facing NW once it reaches my height and there's no obstacle to manouver the roach.

(To make it clear: I meant that the roach comes from behind when I come back from the SW trapdoor).

Time your journey so it gets stuck on the obstacle in the middle of the room.

(I can't post a link due to too small rank, but I uploaded my attachment - you'll find it on the left of this post)

I've tried that, but then I've got too little time and can't go down to the trapdoor and up back again in order not to get another roach, that gets stuck on the same obstacle, but is not blocked, so I can't easily eliminate it.

OK - I'll keep on trying :). Thanks for the hints.
