Definitely. What part of the room are you having trouble with? Western area, NE area, SE area?

At a guess, I would say it's the bottom right hand roach. This gave me serious trouble for a while.

I'm having trouble in the North East Corner. I can't make it around the corner in time to make her change directions. Maybe this is the wrong approach.

My favorite roach is that one in the upper right field. I have absolutly no idea how to prevent getting it behind the forced arrow .

×First step is to push her 1 square NE of herself. This should be relatively easy as there are several ways to do it. Otherwise, please ask. My problem at the time was that I didn't think this to be the "right" place.

×Finally, line yourself up with the diagonal passage. Move down it at just the right moment. She should spawn right in her only path through the roaches.

I can get every queen except this one. I can follow your instructions no problem but the queen will not spawn. All the trapdoors are set. I gotten other queens to spawn but not this one. Could it be a bug?

I'm not quite sure what problem you're having, but it might help to know more about spawning. Roaches will not be spawned on trapdoors, dropped yellow doors, or on the space the roach queen occupied on the previous turn.
If that doesn't help, perhaps you could upload a demo so we can see exactly what you're doing?

I can get the queen right in the middle of the room, with no arrows, dropped doors or anything around her and she still won't spawn. I'm not sure how to upload a demo if I can't complete the room. If I go in and kill her anyway, I'm stuck on an arrow and can't leave

Well - if you happen to be invisible at that time she'll only spawn if she's inside your smell radius...

I time it so I step into her radius on 30. I also tried in on 29 and still no spawn
I'm beginning to think it must be bug

1. To record a demo of what you've done so far in the room, press F4 in game.

2. To export that demo to a file, first press F6 to get a list of demos, and then Export the one you just recorded.

3. Attach the file you exported to your post.

Thanks everyone for your help, but the problem is obviously on my end as I cannot even export a demo. Everytime I try to export it to disc, my DROD Application quits. I tried with other rooms as well and it just won't do it.
I'll go on to something else.

There are two ways that could have happened:

A queen will only spawn if you're invisible if it's still in your invisibility radius at the end of its turn if you step into range on turn 30 and the queen flees outside of your range so that it can't see you, it won't spawn. It will only spawn if at the end of the turn, it can still smell you.

Additionally, the queen will not spawn in the square it has just move from, if it has moved at all.

I have the same problem as Nitsua. I cannot get the NE nor the SE queens to spawn. When I have them properly postioned - or at least I think I do - they are outside the area where I am visible. If I approach on turn 29, they simply move out of the visible area and do not spawn. Same thing happens if I try it on turn 30.

The fact that the queen will run away and thus avoid spawning limits the angle at which you can approach each queen. You have to "pin" her against the wall so that she doesn't run.

As the last person who had to ask for help in this room, I feel for you. Unfortunately, I played this hold in JtRH and you are playing in TCB, so I can't open your demo. So here's a description of what I did to kill the NE queen after I got all the help.

How do you get there?

Finally got it - thank you. I suddenly realised that the trick is ...having tried and failed a dozen more times after your message.

Isn't it amazing how you can think you're following instructions, only to realise that you've made wrong assumptions :-)
