So I'm trying to add some information to my profile, but the system doesn't want to let me. Every time I put the stuff in and click 'Submit', I get forwarded to http://forum.caravelgames.com/member.php (just that, no ? with any options after it) and get a blank screen, not even the 'Nothing specified' page. When I then go to my profile itself, nothing has changed at all.

Birthdate and signature. Trying to do either on its own doesn't work, either.

I just tried changing my birthdate, and it worked fine for me...!

And... It's still not working.

Has anything been changed in the forum that might have made it not work properly in some browsers? The only thing I can think of is that some update or another might have broken things in Safari.

Well, Schik recently modified the form code after I messed with my options. Maybe that has something to do with your problem.

I very much doubt it has anything to do with what browser you use... perhaps it is because of the input you gave. Can you either PM me or just post what you were going to change your signature to?
Edit: Ohh, wait... it's if you change either the birthday or signature by itself? Weird... I'll look into it.

Hikari, I have Safari 2.0.1 on an iMac G5 with 10.4. I just tried adding a signature and it worked ( I've deleted it again).


My date of birth hasn't changed recently, so I left that alone. ;)

OK, that's weird. I tried again just now, and it *did* work, at least so far as the birthdate is concerned.

I think the server just kinda didn't like me for a night.

I'm having the same problem as Hikari originally. I get forwarded to the blank screen, and no changes are saved. I've been trying to add an avatar and change my time zone (for the Snakes challenge!), both together and separately.
Tried several times, different days, still nothing works.

OK, so I attempt to alter my profile today, and it works.
I'm stumped and amazed. I doubt any of the site techs changed anything, as no one ever replied to me here (probably because it's marked with the "not a bug" icon).
In any event, I'm happy now.
And my old posts are even back-stamped with my owl avatar! Bonus! :D

Probably no-one replied because it's in the bugs forum and not the "The site" forum which is where Schik looks for this sort of thing.

There was recently a similar bug reported by Jatopian and Schik fixed it for him. You may have benefitted from the same fix.

Indeed - when you change your avatar (or add one, if you didn't have one before), it appears that way on all your posts, past and present.
