ok, since you gave the suggestion about the desasters it was not difficult to figure out question 2: Bermuda

question 1 was more difficult, because GE4 does not show the name of the small island, only the name of the southern bay (i don't know how this is in GE 3 but i think that the maps are the same). using google i found (with the help of Lonely Planet) that the bay is named equal to the island. so i wold say that this is Nonsuch Island.

since i think that we were searching long enough for small islands i like to start a new kind of google Earth hunt.
here you see some coords:
37° 02′ 22″ N 27° 25′ 45″ E
32° 32′ 11″ N 44° 25′ 15″ E

the goal is to figure out the commonality between this places. if nobody will find the key some more coords will follow within the next days. i'm sure that the riddle will be solved (in fact with more coords), so i will give you no more clues than these coords.
