It's not that hard - it's just rather tedious running back and forth around the room trying to control the tar at several points.

The hard part is cleaning the two tar masses to the right fast enough so that the others don't get out of control, while ensuring to leave a clear path to the orb that also covers all trapdoors. Once only the main tar remains, it gets tedious, but the challenge is pretty much done.
