Ok, I give up. Please let me know the fault in my logic...

1) I need to hit the orb at (11, 23) to be able to get Chen to that orb.
2) In order for the orb at (11, 23) to be hit, the trapdoor-like-thing with the scroll on top of it (can't remember what it's called) must be necessarily dropped. Therefore, Chen can't get to that orb anyways.
3) If anyone but Chen hits that orb, there is no escape.

Just wanted to add: If you start as Jax instead of Chen, it seems like this room is impossible (means I have to do the Silent Way all over again). I say this because you can't do anything with Nikolay (since the ray blocks the path to the blue tile) or Berk (ray also traps him; only port is the red tile which activates Nikolay) after you hit the switch to knock down the wall around Berk's blue tile, and if you try to go for the other switch with the roaches, there's no way to kill the bottom roach (since it pops up right next to you with no way to swipe either forwards or backwards) and no escape route (since if you take this path there's no one on any of the other blue tiles).

At least I came into The Silent Way area as Chen and not Berk... level seven is a royal pain to navigate.

EDIT: Well, I *thought* I did anyway... ugh. Now I have to find a Chen switch that'll work......

EDITx2: Ignore me. Chen can't pass through mud anyway... Dammit, now I have to figure out what to do!

You can only exit level 7 with Jax, through Silent Way. There in no other way. Anyway, Jax was designed as the default character for every level. So even if you finish level 7 with Chen, Level 8 will start with him.

i can only get to three characters, jax, who you start with, the archer, and the ship, however when i get the ship, i'm trapped and can only switch to the archer, which cannot go anywhere because of the rays.

im in the same jam. theres no way to make progress. getting the boat changes the ray such that you cant use it and theres no way to kill the left bottom roach or even get it out of position because you cant get low enough due to the ray.

I think you can kill the roach w/ the archer. But I'm not sure.

the archer only kills the closer roach. the farther away one is invulnerable.
