This is the room before I meet up with that mysterious looking cross guy. I can't seem to kill the first section of eyes. If I backswipe them I get overwhelmed, and there seems to be to little time to turn your sword. Gentle shove please?

How?

EDIT: Never mind, I just did it, also. After killing one eye facing it, you have enough time to point your sword north so that you can backswipe the other.
