Obviously from the subject, I think I found a bug in SubTerra.
I have tested this and recreated it multiple times in the editor.
Suppose a player is standing like this; W represents walls, P represents the player, * represents nothing
WPW
*W*
A key that the player already has obtained has fallen on his head;
*K*
WPW
*W*
The player plants dynamite and begins to run up, pushing the key;
*K*
*P*
W*W
*W*
Here's the bug part. Guess where the dynamite is? In the walls where the player intended it to be? No, it is firmly attached to the players back until it blows up. Effectively explodifying the player.
If the player runs sideways away from the key, the dynamite will stay at the point he turned, but will rock up and down in an erratic motion between two spaces.
Somewhat fun to watch, but still not a happy thing.
I've included a level to demonstrate this, but I'm sad to say I could not record a demo because of the player's tendency to explode before any kind of exit could be acheived. It's pretty straight forward, pick up the key and dynamite, press the button and "
catch"
the key on your head as the diagrams illustrate, plant the dynamite in the hole and run up away from it.
All done... Well, that was long wasn't it?
